Case Converter

Convert text to uppercase, lowercase, or title case with the first letter of each word capitalised.

How to use the Case Converter

  1. Type or paste your text into the input box; the output changes as you type.
  2. Read the three labelled lines that come back: UPPERCASE, lowercase and Title Case.
  3. Press the copy button for the whole output block, or select one line and copy that alone.

What Title Case does to acronyms and camelCase

Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word and forces every other letter down, flattening anything that carries meaning in its capitals: USA becomes Usa, iPhone becomes Iphone.

All three forms at once, and what the copy button takes

The output box holds the three conversions on labelled lines, so you can compare them. The copy button takes that whole box, labels included, so highlight one line to lift out a single form.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on non-Latin scripts?

Letter case only exists in scripts that have it. Korean, Japanese and Chinese text passes through unchanged.

Can I use it for variable names?

Only for plain upper and lower case. There is no camelCase or snake_case option, and Title Case lower-cases the rest of each word, so myVariableName returns Myvariablename.

Why did my acronym come out as Usa instead of USA?

Because Title Case lower-cases every letter after the first one in a word. Acronyms have to be typed back in by hand.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs in the page using your browser's own case functions, and nothing is kept once you leave.

Is there a limit on how much text I can paste?

No limit is set, though all three conversions are redone on every keystroke, so a large block may feel slow as you type.
