Hashtag Generator
Enter keywords separated by commas or spaces and get them back as hashtags.
How to use the Hashtag Generator
- Type or paste your keywords into the top box, separated by commas or spaces.
- The hashtag version appears in the box underneath as you type, a hash in front of each entry.
- Press Copy result to put the whole line of tags on your clipboard.
Why a space starts a new tag
The input is cut apart at every comma and at every space, not at commas alone, so social media comes back as two tags. To get one tag from a phrase, close the gap and type socialmedia, or join it with capitals as SocialMedia.
Characters that get stripped out
Only letters A to Z, digits and the underscore survive. Hyphens, apostrophes and punctuation go, and so do accented letters, so cafe typed with an accent comes out as caf.
Frequently asked questions
How do I handle multi-word phrases?
Close up the space and type the phrase as one word, such as socialmedia. Spaces split entries the same way commas do, so a two-word phrase returns two separate hashtags.
What happens to punctuation?
Characters that are not valid in hashtags are stripped automatically.
How do I get a two-word hashtag like socialmedia?
Write it as one word with no space. Any space or comma begins a new tag, so social media returns two hashtags while socialmedia returns one.
Are repeated keywords removed?
No. Every entry becomes a tag, so the same word twice gives the same hashtag twice. Take duplicates out of the input first.
Is there a limit on how many it makes?
No limit is set in the page. Each keyword produces one tag, so the cap is whatever the platform you post to allows.
