Merge PDF Online

Select several PDFs and combine them in order. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use the Merge PDF Online

  1. Choose at least two PDF files in the picker. With fewer than two the merge is refused.
  2. Check the numbered list that appears; that is the order the pages will be combined in.
  3. Press the merge button. The combined file is saved to your downloads as merged.pdf.

The numbered list is the merge order

Every page of the first file comes first, then every page of the second, down the list shown under the picker. That order comes from the file picker rather than from the sequence you clicked, so read it before merging. A new selection replaces the whole list.

The work happens on your own device

The files are read, copied and written back out inside the browser, so nothing is uploaded. Your device supplies the memory, which is why a batch of large scans is slow. Page contents carry over; document-level extras such as a bookmark outline do not.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser and nothing is transmitted. That matters for contracts, ID scans and anything else you would not want sitting on someone else's server.

Can I change the order?

Only by choosing the files again. The numbered list under the picker shows the exact order that will be used, and there is no way to drag items around, so check the list first.

Is there a file limit?

No fixed limit, though very large files take longer since your own device does the work.

Can I merge only certain pages?

No. Every page of every file you select goes into the result, so split the file elsewhere first if you need a subset.

What happens with a password-protected PDF?

It fails and you get a message asking you to check the file. Remove the password in the program that made the file, then merge the unlocked copy.
