Every conversion goes through seconds
The value is multiplied by the seconds in the From unit and divided by the seconds in the To unit, so all five units share one reference and any pair converts exactly.

Why the list stops at weeks
A day here is a fixed 86,400 seconds and a week seven of those, which always holds for a duration. A month runs from 28 to 31 days and a year is 365 or 366, so neither has a single factor. For calendar spans, use a date difference calculator.
