Simple To-Do List Online
Add, tick off and delete tasks. Your list is saved in this browser, so it survives closing the tab.
Done 0 / Total 0
How to use the Simple To-Do List Online
- Type a task into the input box and press the add button, or press Enter instead.
- Tick the box beside a task to mark it done. The text is struck through.
- The counter above the list shows how many tasks are done out of the total.
- Use the clear completed button to remove every ticked task in one go.
The list lives in this browser, not in an account
Tasks are written to this browser's local storage, so the list is still there when you come back, with no sign-up and no server involved. It also belongs to this device alone: clearing site data or using a private window leaves you with an empty list.
What one task can hold
A task carries its text and whether it is done, nothing else. There are no due dates, priorities, repeats or drag-to-reorder, and new tasks go on the end. Ticked tasks stay in view with a line through them until you clear the completed ones.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
In this browser's local storage on this device. It never reaches a server, which also means it is not visible from other devices or browsers.
Does it sync across devices?
No. Each browser keeps its own separate list.
Can I clear finished tasks at once?
Yes, the clear completed button removes all ticked items in one go.
Can I get the same list on my phone?
No. There is no account and no syncing, so every browser keeps its own list and moving one means retyping it.
Can I undo a delete?
No. Deleting a task and clearing the completed ones both write straight to storage, with no undo step in between.
Is there a limit on how many tasks I can add?
No limit is set, so you can add until the browser's storage quota runs out. A long list gets hard to scan, since it all sits on one screen.
