Dice Roller Online
Press the button to roll a die and get a number from 1 to 6.
How to use the Dice Roller Online
- Press Roll dice. A number from 1 to 6 replaces the question mark at the top of the panel.
- Every roll joins the numbered list below the buttons, newest first.
- Copy result puts the current number on your clipboard, and Clear history empties the list.
Rolling twice for a two-dice total
One die is rolled per press, so a game wanting two dice needs two presses added together. Those totals are not evenly spread: seven has six ways out of thirty-six, while two and twelve have one each.
| Total | Ways out of 36 | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 2 or 12 | 1 | 2.78% |
| 3 or 11 | 2 | 5.56% |
| 4 or 10 | 3 | 8.33% |
| 5 or 9 | 4 | 11.11% |
| 6 or 8 | 5 | 13.89% |
| 7 | 6 | 16.67% |
What the numbered history keeps
Rolls are numbered as they arrive, and the last fifty are written into this browser on this device. They survive a reload, but never reach another browser or machine. Clear history wipes the list and the stored copy together.
Frequently asked questions
Can I roll more than one die?
This rolls a single die. Press again for a second roll and add the results.
Is it fine for board games?
Yes, it works as a replacement when you have lost the physical dice.
Is every face equally likely?
Yes. Each press picks one of six values with equal weight, so every face has a 1 in 6 chance, about 16.67%. Earlier rolls do not affect the next one.
Can I roll a 20-sided die here?
No. The result is fixed to 1 through 6, with no setting for the number of sides or the number of dice.
Does the history survive a reload?
Yes, the last fifty rolls do. They sit in this browser on this device only, so another browser or a private window starts empty.
