World Clock
See the current time, date and offset of major cities on one screen. Add your own cities and slide the base time to find a meeting slot that works everywhere.
Your city list and 12-hour setting are saved in this browser only. Times are your device clock converted to each cityโs time zone.
How to use the World Clock
- Open the page and nine default cities appear as cards with their current time and date, refreshed every second.
- Each card shows the UTC offset, whether daylight saving is on, the difference from the base city at the front and whether it is day or night there.
- Type a city name above the cards to add it, and use ร to remove one. Base moves a city to the front.
- Drag the base time slider to see the same moment in every city; the times when everyone is in working hours are listed underneath.
Finding a meeting time across cities
Drag the base time slider and the first card, the base city, steps through today in half hours while every other card shows the same moment in its own time and date. Cities inside working hours (9:00 to 18:00) are outlined, and the slots when all of them are in working hours are listed below in base-city time. Tap a slot to move the slider there.
With cities far apart, such as Seoul, London and New York, working hours may never overlap. The list then falls back to the hours when everyone is awake, 8:00 to 22:00. You can copy the city list as a link and send it to the people you are meeting.
Nine cities and how far apart they sit
Seoul and Tokyo share UTC+9 and neither shifts for daylight saving, so those two cards always match. Beijing sits an hour behind them and Dubai five hours behind them.
Standard offsets and which cities change clocks
Daylight saving is applied by the browser from its own time zone data, so nothing here needs a summer setting. Five of the nine default cities shift by an hour for part of the year; the offsets below are standard values.
| City | Standard offset | Daylight saving |
|---|---|---|
| Seoul, Tokyo | UTC+9 | No |
| Beijing | UTC+8 | No |
| Dubai | UTC+4 | No |
| London, Paris | UTC+0, UTC+1 | Yes |
| New York, Los Angeles | UTC-5, UTC-8 | Yes |
| Sydney | UTC+10 | Yes |
Frequently asked questions
Which cities are shown?
Nine cities by default: Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Sydney and Dubai. You can add up to sixteen from a list of about fifty cities and remove any you do not need.
Does it update automatically?
Yes, every second. Daylight saving time is applied automatically for cities that observe it.
Why do Seoul and Tokyo always show the same time?
Both run on UTC+9 and neither observes daylight saving, so the two clocks never drift apart at any point in the year.
Can I add a city that is not on the grid?
Yes. Type a city name in the box above the cards and press Add. Your list is kept in this browser, and Default cities brings back the original nine.
How accurate are the seconds?
As accurate as your device clock. The page reads your system time once a second, so a clock that has drifted shifts every card by the same amount.
How do I find a meeting time across time zones?
Add every city, then drag the base time slider to see the same moment everywhere. The slots when all cities are in working hours (9:00 to 18:00) are listed under the cards in base-city time.
