Round 0 / 0
How to use the Interval Timer
- Fill in Work (sec), Rest (sec) and Rounds. The page opens on 30, 15 and 8.
- Press Start. The label switches to Work, then Break, as the round counter climbs.
- Start becomes Pause while running and Resume once paused. Reset returns it to Get ready.
The round counter shows finished rounds
The counter starts at 0 and only moves up when a rest period ends, so it still reads 0 through your first work interval. It reaches the round total as the label turns to Done.
Working out the session length
Every round runs work then rest, the last rest included, so a session lasts the round count times work plus rest. Nothing is added for a warm-up or a cool-down.
| Work | Rest | Rounds | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20s | 10s | 8 | 4:00 |
| 30s | 15s | 8 | 6:00 |
| 45s | 15s | 12 | 12:00 |
Frequently asked questions
How many rounds can I set?
Any whole number you type, with no upper limit set in the page. A blank field, or 0, falls back to 8, and the work and rest fields to 30 and 15 seconds.
Can I pause mid-workout?
Yes. The pause button stops the timer and you can resume from the same point.
How long will my session take?
Multiply rounds by work plus rest. The final rest runs too, so 8 rounds of 30 seconds work and 15 rest come to exactly 6 minutes.
Can I change the work time mid-session?
Not without starting over. The three fields are read once, as you press Start from Get ready. Reset, edit them, then Start again.
Why does it show 00:29 for a 30-second round?
The display updates a second after the phase begins, so the top of the count is never drawn. The interval still lasts the full 30 seconds.
