Spin the Wheel

Spin the wheel to pick one of eight options at random.

How to use the Spin the Wheel

  1. Press Spin. The question mark becomes a whole number from 1 to 8.
  2. Press Copy result to take the number now showing on screen.
  3. Each spin joins the list below, newest at the top and numbered in order.
  4. Press Clear history to empty that list and restart the numbering at 1.

Spins are independent, so numbers repeat

Every press draws again from all eight numbers and nothing is struck off, so the same number can arrive twice running, which happens one time in eight. If each option should come up once, cross numbers off your own list as they appear.

Where the history lives

The list is written to this browser's local storage, and the 50 newest entries return when you come back on the same device. It goes nowhere else. Clear history deletes the list and the stored copy together.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rename the options?

The labels are numbered 1 to 8 in the current version.

How many options are there?

Eight.

Can I put my own names on the wheel?

No. The result is always a number from 1 to 8 and there is no field for labels. Write your eight options in a fixed order and read the number as a position.

How many past spins survive a reload?

Fifty. The on-screen list grows without limit while the page stays open, but only the 50 newest entries are written to storage.

Does it avoid the number it just gave?

No. There is no memory between presses. Every spin is a fresh draw at one in eight, that last number included.
